Jane M. Brown, MS, CNS
Jane’s passion is protecting the pancreas and preventing lifestyle disease through nutrition and effective weight loss.  In 2009, Jane’s 77 year old dad died from Stage IV pancreatic cancer and she is determined to spend the rest of her life helping others avoid the same fate. There was a time in her own life, however, when Jane didn’t think about her pancreas and ate the Standard American Diet chock full of processed, refined foods laden with too much sugar and the wrong fat. For years she took her health for granted even though she suffered from chronic low back pain and GI symptoms. In her early 20s she was diagnosed with IBS.

A few years later, on Easter Sunday 1990, Jane was in an automobile accident and shattered the windshield with her head. She began treatment with her chiropractor friend from church who restored cervical range of motion and a few months of care later, her low back pain and GI problems were gone. In November 1991, Jane and Dr. Brown were married and he helped her change her dietary habits and learn the tremendous value of the other Hippocratic Oath: Let Food Be Your Medicine and Your Medicine Be Your Food. Jane holds a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. After passing her Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) Board exam and completing 1000 hours of clinical practice experience, she achieved CNS status. She has taught college level nutrition and serves as a guest speaker wherever she can spread the word about nutrition, health and wellness.
